Love at the palace…

India is a place that has always had a mystique about it; an intrigue that you can’t quite put your finger on…

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the wedding of one of my oldest friends. A few years ago, he met and fell in love with a beautiful girl from the land of the Taj Mahal. The ads don’t lie. India is indeed incredible! It is a land of vast proportions, amazing diversity and stark contrast. From ultramodern cityscapes in Delhi to centuries-old palaces in Rajasthan.

Being old and good friends, we agreed that I would attend as a guest and not as the official photographer. I’m glad I did! I got to really enjoy the moments and got to meet their friends, who flew in from literally every continent (except Antarctica :))

Coupled with the fact that the venue they chose is over 700 years old and still standing majestically, this was one opportunity I wasn’t going to miss!

There were photo ops aplenty and needless to say, my trusty camera was never far away 😉 Whenever I attend a wedding as a guest, I really respect the working photographer’s role and always stay well out of their way. I also restrict my gear to 2 lenses max (usually just one, in fact) and shoot sans flash.

I had a superb time and got to capture some beautiful moments too!

Aaron & Dipti, thank you for having me. I wish you guys all the very best in your marriage, now and always…
